World Taekwondo is the international federation governing the Olympic sport of Taekwondo. Established in 1973 and recognised by the IOC in 1980, WT unites 210+ member nations. WT promotes respect, discipline, perseverance and inclusivity, and uses Taekwondo for education, peacebuilding and social impact.

KTF is the national governing body for Taekwondo in Kenya (est. 1982). It is recognised by the Government of Kenya and affiliated with WT and AFTU. KTF organises national championships, supports athlete development and represents Kenya internationally.

Kenyan athletes, including Faith Ogallo, have represented Kenya at the Olympic Games and international events. Faith Ogallo also serves as a World Taekwondo Sustainability Ambassador.
