Preparing the Championships...Taekwondo Values for Climate Action
On September 18, 2025, Nairobi witnessed the official unveiling of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the World Taekwondo Under 21 Championships 2025, set for December 3–6 at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
The ceremony at Mercure Hotel, Upperhill, brought together top government officials, including the Principal Secretaries for Sports and Tourism, the Korean Ambassador to Kenya, and private-sector representatives, symbolizing strong diplomatic and institutional support.
The Korean Ambassador handed over the championship flag to Kenya’s PS for Sports, who then passed it to the KTF President, officially launching Kenya’s journey to host a world-class event.
The LOC pledged to deliver a historic and sustainable championship that inspires athletes globally and leaves a lasting legacy for Kenyan sports.
